Backend developer (Java) - Bdado en La Habana

We are looking for a Backend Developer (Java) who can help us develop our software solutions. The position requires strong programming skills in Java and proven experience in streaming and batch processing frameworks such as Apache Flink (desirable) or Apache Spark. A solid understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and data engineering best practices is essential. Familiarity with message brokers such as RabbitMQ (desirable) or Apache Kafka. Proficiency with SQL and experience working with relational and/or columnar databases is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) is necessary. We offer a full time position where you will have the chance to work from home most of the time. However, at least once a week, we meet all team members in our office in Miramar, where you can also work any day of the week. For this position, efficient communication skills in English are a must. Nice to Have: • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and logging frameworks. • Experience with CI/CD tools and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Docker, Jenkins, Chef) is a plus. • Proficient in writing unit tests.
